Award-Winning Modular Workforce Housing in Breckenridge
Symmetry is proud to announce that The Larkspur Apartments, a modular workforce housing community in Breckenridge, has been awarded Silver for Best Offsite Construction Project Design at the 2025 Best in American Living™ Awards presented by the National Association of Home Builders.
Delivered through a fully integrated design-build partnership with EV Studio, The Larkspur demonstrates how modular construction can provide high-quality, design-forward housing solutions in high-cost mountain communities where workforce housing is critically needed.
Located in the heart of Summit County, the project was developed to support the local workforce that sustains Breckenridge’s year-round economy. By leveraging offsite modular construction, the team was able to improve schedule efficiency, enhance quality control, and minimize site disruption — all while maintaining architectural integrity suited to the surrounding alpine context.
The NAHB Best in American Living Awards recognize the nation’s most innovative and impactful residential design projects. Earning Silver in the offsite construction category underscores the strength of early collaboration between architecture and construction and reinforces the value of design-build delivery for complex housing challenges.
The Larkspur stands as a model for how modular construction can be executed at a high level — balancing speed, durability, and thoughtful design to create lasting community impact.
Congratulations to our partners, collaborators, and the entire project team for this outstanding achievement.
