Revitalizing a Historic Facility in RiNo
Symmetry Builders converted a historic automotive facility in Denver’s RiNo district into a 5,400 SF flex office/retail space with an 800 SF steel-framed mezzanine, completed in 2020. Preserving the original brick and bow truss roof, we media-blasted interiors, polished concrete floors, and added windows and roll-up doors for modern functionality in the century-old structure. The cost-plus GMP project included new MEP systems and custom features like aircraft cable railings and wood stairs, now occupied by a dental clinic. We navigated the challenge of maintaining historical integrity while meeting contemporary tenant needs. This adaptive reuse project underscores our expertise in blending heritage with innovation.
